Amir Atashi Rang, Esq.
Amir Atashi Rang is the principal of The Atashi Rang Law Firm PC in San Francisco. He is a Certified Specialist, Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Atashi Rang is an incoming member of the Executive Committee of the Taxation Section of the State Bar of California. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University in Political Science and French, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, his Juris Doctorate degree from UC Hastings College of the Law, and his LL.M. degree in taxation from Golden Gate University. Mr. Atashi Rang is a long-time Bay Area resident and an avid tennis player.
Amir Sarreshtehdary, Esq.
Amir Sarreshtehdary is serving as an Of Counsel attorney to the Atashi Rang Law Firm PC. He received his Bachelor of Arts from UC Irvine in Criminology, Law, and Society, cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and received his Juris Doctorate from UC Hastings College of the Law. Mr. Sarreshtehdary earned his LL.M. in Taxation Law with honors from Golden Gate University, with an emphasis in Estate Planning. He is the Co-Chair of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the Marin County Bar Association. He is also a member of the State Bar of California´s Trusts and Estates Section. Amir currently lives in Walnut Creek with his wife and their baby girl.
Jyan Ferng, Esq.
Jyan Ferng is serving as an Of Counsel attorney to the Atashi Rang Law Firm PC. Mr. Ferng received a Bachelor of Arts in English from UC Berkeley and his Juris Doctorate from UC Hastings College of the Law. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2000 and practices civil litigation. Mr. Ferng previously practiced employment litigation at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP, and Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He currently is the President of the Board of Directors of the Chinatown Community Children´s Center, a nonprofit childcare center in San Francisco, and is on the Board of Directors for the Treasure Island Homeless Development Initiative. Mr. Ferng has resided in the Bay Area for 20 years.
Katie Cheng, Esq.
Katie Cheng is serving as an Of Counsel attorney to The Atashi Rang Law Firm PC. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Berkeley in Legal Studies and a minor in Business Administration from the Walter A. Haas School of Business. Ms. Cheng obtained her Juris Doctorate from the Santa Clara University School of Law, where she received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Family Wealth Management and she served as the Vice President of the Tax and Estate Planning Society. She externed for the Honorable Nathan D. Mihara of the California Court of Appeal, 6th Appellate District and the Honorable Jacqueline M. Duong of the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara. Prior to attending law school, Katie was a senior tax associate in a large international accounting firm, during which time she was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (currently inactive status).
